Malheur/Burns Oregon April 2024
In April of 2024 I drove to Burns, Oregon, just north of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. I spent three days there and was fortunate to witness spectacular sunrises along with Sandhill Cranes and other birds.
Note that some of the images have a “bluish” tint with comes from being shot during “blue hour”, the hour prior to sunrise. Once the sun crested the distant hill, the blues vanished and were replaced with brilliant yellows and oranges.
In less than an hour after sunrise, the vivid colors faded and the sunrise photo frenzy was pretty much over but occasionally a good photograph was taken later in the day.
These are the best of the photos I took during the two days I spent in that area.
